Retailers have spent week’s preparation for today and consumers followed suit, coming up for hours outside the stores, where they expecting to get the best deals on the stuff atop their festival wish lists.
Black Friday is at this point, and the holiday shopping period has officials kicked into high gear.
Walmart is likely to draw the largest amount of customers due to its aggressive sales and huge customer base. This year the put up for sale giant is offering a 32-inch Emerson HDTV for $246 and a 46-inch Sony Bravia LCD HDTV for $798. Its Black Friday bargain also aspect a $78 Magnavox Blu-ray Disc and a Nintendo DS Lite for $78.
But following the “stampede” casualty of a guard last year on Black Friday at a Walmart in New York, Walmart has altered its approach to its coming up sales and is allowing inhabitants to line up inside their stores at the subdivision where there stuff are on sale.
For now, other well-liked Black Friday destination such as Best Buy and Target are also expecting the usual crowd of campers coming up in line outside their stores in hopes of taking benefit of the Black Friday sales, both of which started at 5 am onwards.
Among the products Best Buys is feature at the moment is a HP laptop win an Intel Celeron Processor for $197 only, whereas one of the items that Target is illustrate casing for its two-day sales event is a 32 inch Westinghouse LCD HDTV for only $26.
Local retailers are hoping to bounce back from what was a down year for several in 2008, wherever some estimation showed sales dropped by as much as 4 percent due to the financial climate.
