The Jon and Kate plus 8 series finale aired last night, bringing the reality show to a close up after an almost three-year run on TLC.
Among a highly public and messy split, Jon and Kate Gosselin opened up on the hour-long finale episode about their past, present and future as a relations.
And as common the couple had two totally diverse perspectives on, just about the whole lot.
Kate Gosselin (34) called the finale “bittersweet”, but hinted at her disappointment as well calling it “totally avoidable”.
She also chats about Jon’s flings with other women.
“Children don’t know about the girlfriends at all”, she said. “That’s just too twisted for them, too harmful for them to know. They’re learning at this time by watching us what it’s like to be a fully developed, but that’s the last thing I want them to be familiar with”.
Kate even fought back tears when talking about her wedding.
“I never had a clear representation of how it would end. It’s too soon”, she said.
Jon (32) on the other hand, seemed to have totally moved on since the celebrated split that precipitated the end of the show.
“It’s unlucky that our wedding failed, but our family shouldn’t be unsuccessful. We’re going to have to strive to be the best parents we can whether we’re marital or not”, he said. “We’re certainly not going to be married again”.
“Ouch”.
The daddy of eight also returned on some of his bad boy actions recently, confessing that because he was wedded at the tender age of 22, “maybe I’m reverting to 23″.
“I’m looking forward; I know what I have to do, to become friends with Kate. To carry on my relationship with Hailey Glassman”, he added.
