Golfer Tiger Woods Accenture, AT & T and Gillette Sponsorship end.

Tiger Woods GilletteLatest Tiger Woods Updates, now this time AT & T ends sponsorship agreement with Tiger Woods just one after the Woods’ 34th birthday. “We are ending our sponsorship agreement with Tiger Woods and wish him well in the future”, a representative for AT&T told.

Whereas, Accenture was the first brand to ends sponsorship with the golfer, later on followed by Gillette. However, other brands including NIKE and Tag Heuer have selected to stand by the star who freshly admitted on his Web site to “infidelity”.

Tag Heuer however did release an announcement to the New York Times earlier this month noting they would “downscale the use of his image in certain markets for a period of time”.


Nike one of the golfer’s major sponsors has stuck by the star. Phil Knight the co-founder of the sports goods company released the philandering scandal as “part of the game” in celebrity endorsements.  “When his career is over; you’ll look back on these indiscretions as a minor blip”, Mr Knight said.

University of California Davis economics professors computed this week that that Woods’ listed sponsorship had seen up to $12 billion wiped off their collective share price since news of his affairs broke following a car accident outside the Woods’ home in Florida on November 27, 2009.
