Ethiopian Airlines Lebanon Flight ET409 CrashLatest updates on Ethiopian Airlines news, two Britons are feared dead following an Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed at about 0030 GMT, soon after launch from the Lebanese capital Beirut.

Lebanon Transport Minister Ghazi Aridi said two Britons of Lebanese origins were among passengers on Flight ET409; Foreign Office said it was unable to verify whether any Britons were on board but was looking into the reports.


A Foreign Office spokeswoman said, “We are trying to find out; our embassy staff are checking and trying to find out as much as they can”.

Ethiopian Airlines said there were 82 passengers, and 8 crew members on plane; the passenger list included “51-Lebanese, 23-Ethiopians, and 2-Britons, and one passenger each from Turkey, Syria, Canada, Iraq, Russia and France”.

As a minimum 14 bodies have been recovered, and there has been no news of any survivors from the mishap; the cause of the crash is being investigated but police have ruled out terrorism attack.

“An investigative team has already been dispatched to the scene, and we will release further information as further updates are received”.

    lebanese people is kind of bad people whatever childrens or adults. This crashed of ET was derserved to be dead. a number of less than a 100 is so mall. It should be more than 400s for the next time.
