MSNBC is reporting that there has been a fatal mid-air plane collision near Boulder in Colorado; watch video of Boulder plane crash showed in MSNBC.
At least 4 people died when two small aircraft collided in above ground near the Boulder Municipal Airport Saturday afternoon, LA reports.
The collision occurred around 13:30 afternoon, Witnesses reported hearing an blast, and then seeing one of the aircraft fall to the ground with a parachute attached; debris was spotted in several locations.
The Federal Aviation Administration says a plane pulls a glider and another aircraft collided; FAA spokesman Mike Fergus says the glider, describes as a sailplane, it seems that disconnected after the Saturday afternoon collision, and landed safely a short time later.
One witness from the incidence place Christian Sterner said he saw two big balls of flames, with one attached to a parachute that fell slowly to the ground.
