Oscar Nominations 2010 for the 82nd Academy Awards® will be announced on Tuesday, 2nd February 2010, by Academy President Tom Sherak and Oscar nominated actress, and Academy member Anne Hathaway.

All three movies are considered possibilities for the best movies shortlist, which has been raised to ten this year.
Surely, James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow are for the best director category for Avatar and The Hurt Locker resp.; best actor nominees are to be expected to be Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart, George Clooney for Up In The Air and Colin Firth for A Single Man surely, whereas the best actress category is likely to feature Sandra Bullock for The Blind Side, Gabourey Sidibe for Precious, and Meryl Streep for Julie & Julia.
On the other hand, this year presents the very real opportunity that the British will leave the Oscars empty-handed; Bridges is one of the favourite to win the top actor prize and Sandra Bullock is being gossiped up as the best actress winner.
